The yield on the\u00a010-year Treasury<\/a>\u00a0was trading around 3.464% at 3.20 a.m. ET, up 11 basis points. The\u00a02-year Treasury<\/a>\u00a0yield was flat at 4.064%.<\/p>\n\n Yields and prices move in opposite directions. One basis point equals 0.01%.<\/p>\n\n The Fed is expected to announce<\/a> a 25-basis point interest rate hike Wednesday at the conclusion of its meeting. Investors are particularly interested in any guidance on how long rates will remain elevated and when rate cuts could get underway.<\/p>\n\n It follows GDP figures<\/a>\u00a0last week indicating slower-than-expected economic growth in the first quarter. The\u00a0personal consumption expenditure index<\/a>, meanwhile \u2014 one of the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauges \u2014 rose on the previous quarter, coming in at 4.2%. <\/p>\n\n On Monday, ISM manufacturing data, construction spending and S&P Global manufacturing PMI are due.
